Compliance
Our approach to compliance
Industrial hemp is a regulated crop. Our network follows state licensing, pre-harvest testing, and farm-level recordkeeping.
Licensed growers
Every grower in our network is expected to hold and maintain the state hemp license required to plant and harvest in Illinois.
Pre-harvest testing
Crops are sampled and tested through state-approved procedures ahead of harvest, and results are shared with buyers on request.
Recordkeeping & traceability
We keep planting, variety, field, and harvest records at the farm level so loads can be traced back to their origin.
Certified seed genetics
We source approved industrial hemp varieties and retain seed documentation for each program.
Transport documentation
Shipments travel with the paperwork buyers and carriers expect, including test results and license references.
Shared responsibility
Hempdota coordinates documentation across the network. Growers and buyers remain responsible for their own permits and end-use compliance.
This page is maintained by Hempdota to answer common questions from processors and buyers. It describes our current practices and is not legal advice, a certification, or a guarantee of regulatory outcomes. Growers and buyers remain responsible for their own licensing and compliance obligations. Contact us for documentation specific to a supply agreement.
